Network Care

Dr. Dina Keon offers Network Spinal Analysis, a safe, gentle and effective approach that taps into the body’s innate healing capacity to optimize health and wellness via improving the function and communication of the nervous system.   This powerful method is safe for everyone, regardless of age or condition.

Health and the Nervous System

The spine houses the spinal cord, which is the central gathering point or “circuit breaker”  between the brain and the body. The brain sends all of its messages to the body through the spinal cord and the nerves.

Our nerves go to every cell in our body. They innervate our muscles, organs, glands and even our blood vessels (arteries). If the spinal cord or nerves going to these areas have physical pressure or tension on them, they cannot possibly work at 100%.  If left undetected, these nerve “distortions”  cause dis-ease and can later lead to symptoms – our body’s way of communicating to us that something is wrong.

Pressure on nerves from misaligned vertebra is known as a subluxation. Pressure on your spinal cord from surrounding soft tissue structures is known as adverse spinal cord tension. These types of pressures decrease the body’s ability to be healthy and create malfunction.  This is where our body begins to communicate to us via symptoms, trying to get our attention to seek help or make a change.

It is important to get to the cause of the symptom, and not temporarily cover it up or mask it with medications or other “quick fixes”.

How is Network Spinal Analysis different?

Most people come into our office because they have become imbalanced in some way.  In our current culture of stress and input overload, our bodies begin to work on overdrive.  Our stress hormones are released in excess, resulting in a body that is in a defense physiology or “fight or flight“.  This defensiveness decreases our body’s ability to heal, our energy and vitality are compromised, our breathing becomes shallow, and our posture becomes rounded- much like that of a boxer. Consequently, we may also experience fatigue, lack of focus, irritability, inability to sleep, poor digestion, headaches, etc.

In addition to current stress that our body may be enduring, our spine and nervous system records the events of our entire life at a cellular level.  This is analogous to the rings of a tree: we are the sum of our life’s events.

Network Spinal Analysis, as practiced by Dr. Dina, specifically cues your brain to let go of its defensive postures and initiate its self-healing process.  Your body will develop more efficient ways of releasing tension resulting in greater balance and increased vitality. When there is less tension on your nerves, the efficiency of the brain’s communication with the body improves, which allows for increased healing.  This results in a body that is overall healthier and more resilient.

How Network Care works

Network Spinal Analysis is done with a surprisingly gentle touch to the spine. The individual is fully clothed and, most often, relaxed in a face-down position. A very precise touch is applied with no more pressure than one would use when touching a closed eye. These light touches stimulate areas where your body is already at ease, causing the ease to spread throughout your spinal system and body.

Think of your body as a family: rather than just focusing on the “bad kid” that’s acting out in a family dynamic, Dr. Dina will help bring healthy communication to the whole family (the whole body) in order to address the underlying causes of conflict and tension, and to restore understanding and healthy connection.

The more ease that spreads throughout your body, the more your brain and body can decipher the sources of your problem and begin to heal – releasing the problem.

The result is that new and more efficient channels of communication are created between the brain and the body. Your brain begins learning how to effectively release tension in the body. This release of tension allows ease to spread in the body, taking tension off the nerves. When there is less physical tension on the nerves, your body’s natural healing mechanisms can fully kick into action, restoring health- naturally.
